Join our City Walk through Willemstad and discover the story behind all the colorful monumental buildings. For about three hours a local guide will take you to the most significant sites in Punda, such as Fort Amsterdam, the Queen Emma Floating Bridge, and the Mikve Israel Emanuel Synagogue. The tour is every Friday, in English, starts at 9:00 at Wilhelmina Plein in Punda. The guide will tell you the history behind the historic monumental buildings now part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The tour continues through the Waterfort Boogjes where we make a stop at the Fort Kerk, Fort Amsterdam, the Queen Emma Floating Bridge, the Handelskade, the Mikve Israel Emanuel Synagogue, and the Jewish Museum. Discover the cozy inner streets of Punda and colorful 3D artwork made by local artists.
Curious about what the local cuisine has to offer? The tour ends around 12 o’clock, after which you can have a nice lunch at the Oude Markt known as “Plasa Bieu” the guide will gladly take you there.
